A PostgreSQL isolation level where a transaction takes a single snapshot at the start of its first statement and uses it for all subsequent statements. Prevents dirty reads and non-repeatable reads; PostgreSQL's implementation also prevents phantom reads because the snapshot is transaction-wide.
