PACELC theorem

An extension of the CAP theorem proposed by Daniel Abadi to describe distributed system trade-offs: if there is a Partition (P), trade off Availability (A) and Consistency (C); Else (E), trade off Latency (L) and Consistency (C). This framework classifies systems during both abnormal partition states and normal healthy operation.
