Module-Lattice-Based Key-Encapsulation Mechanism (NIST FIPS 203, 2024): a post-quantum KEM derived from CRYSTALS-Kyber. A sender uses the recipient's public key to encapsulate a fresh symmetric key into a ciphertext; only the holder of the corresponding private key can decapsulate it. Its security rests on the hardness of the Module Learning With Errors problem, believed intractable for quantum computers.
