Elliptic-Curve Diffie-Hellman Ephemeral: a key-agreement algorithm used in TLS where both sides generate a fresh elliptic-curve key pair per session. The shared session key is derived without transmitting it, and discarding the ephemeral keys after the session provides forward secrecy.
